StopTech was founded in 1999 with a principal vision to manufacture high performance brake components and systems for street and track use.

With racing in its DNA and a mission to become the leading manufacturer of high performance brake components and systems, StopTech was the first aftermarket brake company to offer balanced front brake upgrades that were compatible with a vehicle's rear Original Equipment brakes. Engineered to dramatically improve overall braking performance, the company is now a leader in Balanced Brake Upgrades™ for production cars with a strong presence in the SPEED World Challenge® Touring Car Series and the Grand-Am® Cup as well.

All StopTech products are machined to ISO standards at the company's manufacturing facilities in Southern California using the latest CNC machines that feature active tooling. A number of StopTech products have also received Europe's prestigious TUV approval.
