Hoosier Tires

Tire Rack offers Hoosier radial racing tires designed for autocross, road racing and drag racing competition.

Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. is the largest race tire manufacturer in the world, producing over 1,000 different types of race tires. The company has its own 300-mph test wheel, technology center and fully-integrated state-of-the-art production facilities. Hoosier recently added a high tech mixing plant with enough capacity to mix racing compounds for itself, as well as now has the ability to produce specialty rubber for others.

Hoosier Racing Tire Corp. began in 1957 when Robert "Bob" Newton, along with his supportive wife Joyce, began re-treading street tires with softer compounds for themselves and local area racers. The Hoosier name was chosen to reflect the origin of Bob's racing roots on the short tracks of the Midwest. The company color of purple came from Bob's #4 race car.

All Hoosier race tires are still proudly "Made in the USA" in Plymouth, Indiana, just down the road from their Lakeville, Indiana corporate offices.
