2023 marked the return of IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) competition to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the first time since 2014, with the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks. A full weekend of sports car racing utilizing IMS' 14-turn, 2.439 road course. This return of IMSA racing to Indianapolis is not only big for motorsports; but is equally big for Tire Rack, which serves as the event's title sponsor.
"The opportunity to join as official partners in bringing IMSA sports car racing back to Indianapolis Motor Speedway amplifies how important tire performance is to our DNA," said Matt Edmonds, executive vice president of TireRack.com.
From our inception in 1979, Tire Rack has been the place for automotive enthusiasts and track fanatics to source the high-performance tires they need. It's only fitting that Tire Rack's name sits beside this weekend of racing excellence.
In 2024, the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks will be held from September 20th to September 22nd. Everything kicks off on Friday with the practice events. The public gates at Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be open from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Qualifications are Saturday, with the public gates open from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Then, on Sunday, its race day! The public gates will be open from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
