SHW Brake Systems (parent company of the performance division) traces its roots back over an astounding 650 years to 1365 where they initially began extracting iron ore and carrying out smelting activities around the area of Konigsbronn, Germany, the company's birthplace. In 2020 SHW launched SHW Performance to enter the automotive aftermarket and performance industry, meanwhile opening their first US branch operating out of Irvine, California.
