Enkei Performance  YX-5

The touring trim on new Foresters comes with 19" wheels with an asymmetrical pattern. Gloss black with polished/machined surfaces. We wanted to go with a smaller diameter to get a taller sidewall for a cushier ride. Not really concerned about high speed cornering stability in this non-turbo Forester. We were originally going with 18"x8" size but those were discontinued. 17"x7.5" matches the OEM wheel width. The offset is less than the OEM which should insure inside clearance even with the wider tread face of the Pirellis over the Bridgestones. Tirerack recommended the 225/60-17 tire size but I think you could easily fit a 235/60 or 225/65. The combination of these wheels and Pirelli Weatheractive tires yielded a 7 pound weight reduction per corner. I like the symmetrical pattern and the large, simple features should be easy to clean. We both would have preferred a gloss black option but Enkei Gunmetal is nice. Enkei is also the OEM manufacturer for the wheels that came with the car. But most important, my wife thought they looked great on her new ride.
