    I always go w/ BBS, they are not the lightest but the ageless designs and built along w/ the iconic center caps can't be matched!

    The wheels are the best for hiding brake dust (Titanium color) and are easy to clean, access to brake calipers are not the worst either.

    I get compliments all the time and having a pure white gti, color is a perfect match.

    I'm running Pirelli PZero Nero GT 235/35-19, using spacers to give a better stance too. (don't forget to get longer bolts if on spacers). Lowered on H&R Sport Springs and Bilstein B8's.

    I counter attacked the 24 lbs by using dual piece rotors which are about 6 lbs lighter than oem discs.

    I think these BBS' are overpriced for what they offer but it goes w/ the name I guess...my second set would be the polished RX-R's which I've owned on a B6 Passat and are goooooorgeous!!

    BBS always taking my money and TireRack came through w/ tires mounted and shipped ready to install!

    My 2016 Golf R sports a square set of BBS CH-Rs in 19x8.5, ET 48mm, 5x112 in titanium finish with 235/35/19 OEM sized tires. The car is also lowered by 25 mm with Neuspeed springs. Fitment, quality, design, sturdiness over potholes of the wheel are top notch. They are not the lightest wheel on the block (24 lbs +/-) and about as heavy as my OEM 19x8, ET 50mm Cadiz wheel. Hence, there is no performance gain through reduction of unsprung mass. But the looks and stance are really second to none. The only downside that I see is that this BBS wheel design is not all very compatible with common big brake kits (BBKs) from Neuspeed, Stoptech, Audi TT-RS (Brembo), etc. While the barrel fits well, the inward curvature of the spokes are NOT compatible with the bigger calipers of the BBKs. For caliper clearance, one would need likely a 10-12 mm spacer for the Neuspeed/Audi calipers and a 5 mm+ for proper clearance of the Stoptech calipers. This will reduce the offset from perfect ET 48 mm down to less than ET 43 mm or even less to effective ET 38/36 mm. The low offset due to the spacers causes poke, rubbing, and requires many other modifications such as the fender screw modification, rolled fenders, narrower tires (225/35), camber plates for negative camber, and what not. If one wants a plug and play BBK with proper wheel compatibility and no plethora of modifications, the BBS CH-R is not the right wheel for you.
