Use Care When Removing Warranty and Road Hazard Claim Tires

The same level of care must be taken when removing tires for warranty and road hazard claims as you would use for any other tire removal/installation.

Take steps to ensure your work isn't the reason a claim gets disqualified.

When a Tire Rack customer's tire order related to a warranty or road hazard claim is sent to your location for installation, note that the customer is paying the same Price Pledge installation rates as they would for any other tire service.

It's also important to note that the customer will be sending the tire back to Tire Rack for inspection and reimbursement by the manufacturer or road hazard provider.

Based on Recommended Installer feedback, it is important to understand who is responsible should damage occur and that the same level of care must be taken when removing these tires as you would use for any other tire removal/installation. Both the tire manufacturers and Tire Rack's road hazard provider will disqualify a tire claim if installation damage is present. If a tire's bead gets torn upon removal, the damage will mean the customer cannot get reimbursed.

If damage does occur when removing a tire from a vehicle that makes it ineligible for a warranty or road hazard claim, it is your location's responsibility to cover the cost of the tire. Take the time to provide your usual level of expert care and handling when removing tires related to warranty and road hazard claims to ensure no damage or loss of product occurs.
