ADVAN A055 tires are for Racetrack & Autocross only and offer consistency in lap times and long tread life due to their enhanced traction and handling capabilities.
WARNING: DOT labeled Yokohama ADVAN A055 tires meet Department of Transportation requirements for marking and performance only and are NOT INTENDED FOR HIGHWAY USE. It is unsafe to operate the Yokohama ADVAN A055 tire on public roads. The prohibited use of Yokohama ADVAN A055 tires on public roadways may result in loss of traction, unexpected loss of vehicle control, or sudden loss of tire pressure, resulting in a vehicle crash and possible injury or death.
And like all Racetrack & Autocross Only tires, ADVAN A055 tires are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow, or on ice. It is also essential these tires be stored indoors at temperatures maintained above 32 degrees F.
The advanced motorsports tread compound of the Yokohama ADVAN A055 is molded into a slick tread design interrupted by only two rows of circumferentially oriented, alternating grooves to offer maximum dry grip for extreme acceleration and braking on the track. The ADVAN A055's ultra-high turn up and rounded profile combine to facilitate stiffness and quick transitions from straight-line sprints to high-speed cornering for concise handling. The ADVAN A055 is race-ready and will not require shaving for competition. Additionally, its symmetric tread design allows the tire to be mounted on either side of the car, and later be remounted inside out to further extend its life.
