The Wintrac is Vredestein's Studless Ice & Snow winter tire developed for daily drivers, family sedans, crossovers and SUVs. Offering an assurance of composure and control in cold weather conditions, and dedicated to delivering confident traction in snow and ice, the Wintrac is built to convey its passengers with trust.
Molded for low-temperature roads, the Wintrac cold-weather compound includes a blend of polymer and resin particles shaped into a strongly directional tread pattern. The adaptive siping built into the shoulder blocks extends the total sipe length as the tire wears for extending the life of biting edges to maintain usable winter traction for longer. The interlocking 3D features stabilize those same blocks for confident cornering or lane changes in the dry and wet. The aggressive V-shaped tread design quickly routes water from the contact patch to maintain grip in the wet and resist hydroplaning, in addition to acting as a traction-granting plow for snow in more extreme weather.
Internal construction of the Wintrac consists of a single polyester casing ply covered by two steel belts to form a reliable tread base. A final layer of polyamide reinforces the steel for additional strength and high speed stability.
