The Tempesta P1 is Vitour's Extreme Performance Summer tire designed for drivers looking for a tire with race-inspired technology and track-level performance in a street-capable tire. Engineered for the track to deliver precise handling, excellent grip, quick lap times, and the thrill of high-performance to drivers every time they hit the asphalt.
Note: Like all Extreme Performance Summer tires, Vitour's Tempesta P1 is not intended to be serviced, stored or driven in near-and-below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
The Tempesta P1 takes a racing-grade polymer compound and molds it into an asymmetric tread pattern designed to maximize grip on dry roads with confident, precise control. The optimized contour helps distribute pressure evenly during cornering, aided by the wide outer tread and broad shoulders. It also minimizes overheating in high-performance conditions, ensuring consistent grip and stability. The inboard of the tread contains closely spaced grooves and twin circumferential grooves for water displacement and resistance to hydroplaning.
The internal construction of the Tempesta P1 features two layers of polyester cord plies and reinforced sidewalls to improve steering feedback and responsiveness. A double-layer steel belt package provides a strong, lightweight foundation, and the 2-ply nylon reinforcement boosts high-speed performance and stability.
Note: The Tempesta P1+ is an expansion of the size lineup of the Tempesta P1, and Vitour has stated that, apart from a small cosmetic difference in the horizontal shoulder features, the two tires are functionally identical. There is no sizing overlap, and both can be used in split fitment setups without issue.
