The Proxes Sport A/S+ is Toyo's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, luxury vehicles and high-performance sedans who want a technology-focused tire that delivers superior dry and wet traction and handling. The Proxes Sport A/S+ is designed to excel all year long, no matter the season, and can handle a myriad of weather conditions, even light snow.
Taking from, and improving on, proven elements of its predecessor: the Proxes Sport A/S+ features an updated high-grip, silica tread compound designed to reduce rolling resistance without sacrificing dry and wet handling. The compound is molded into an asymmetric, performance-focused pattern. This split allows for focused elements of the tire to shine in their respective elements, like the high-stiffness outer rib providing stability during hard cornering, while the greater sipe density on the inboard side offers greater wet control. Dynamic Taper Design creates a slight angled wall at the peak of the tread blocks to reduce deformation and improve road contact for longer wear and improved braking and handling. Deep circumferential grooves combined with open shoulders help evacuate water from the footprint to resist hydroplaning. Wet and winter handling are improved by multi-wave sipes, minimizing tread squirm and reducing irregular wear, while still providing the biting edges needed in slippery conditions.
Internal construction of the Proxes Sport A/S+ features a polyester casing with two-ply sidewall construction for enhanced handling. Two wide, steel belts support the tread and are reinforced by a nylon cap ply for high-speed stability and improved durability.
