The S FIT AS is Laufenn's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed to meet the needs of sports car, sporty coupe and performance sedan driving enthusiasts looking for tires with handling performance and all-season traction combined with quiet and smooth driving on all road conditions. The S FIT AS is designed to provide responsive handling and predictable traction in wet, dry and wintry conditions, even in light snow.

S FIT AS tires mold an ultra high performance all-season compound into an asymmetric tread design. Tie bars connect the shoulder blocks to improve dry road handling and promote even wear while Multi-Tread Radius Technology optimizes the tire's contact patch, further reducing the likelihood of irregular wear patterns. Four wide circumferential grooves and streamlined intermediate notches designed with 3D hydroplaning simulation technology help evacuate water while multiple sipes increase the number of biting edges to generate traction in light snow.

The Laufenn S FIT AS tire's internal structure includes two wide, steel belts reinforced with a jointless nylon full cover to improve high-speed handling and durability. A single strand bead wire improves bead uniformity to optimize ride quality, and the high-hardness bead filler is designed to improve handling and steering response.

Customers Say

Customers think the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 delivers outstanding dry traction and track performance, with consistent grip, high-speed stability, and improved lap times when properly heated. While some note predictable breakaway and heat management needs, wet traction receives cautious feedback-users report limited confidence in standing water or cool conditions. Treadwear earns praise for a track-focused tire, with many achieving multiple heat cycles and sessions, though rapid wear occurs under high torque or aggressive alignment setups. Enthusiasts highlight its suitability for HPDEs and dry track days, emphasizing performance over longevity in extreme use.

  • 142 positive
  • 0 negative

Customers praise the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's outstanding dry traction, with most scoring 9s and 10s for track-focused performance. Reviews highlight exceptional grip, predictable cornering, and stability at high speeds, enabling faster lap times and inspiring confidence during HPDE events and autocross. Many note improved acceleration, braking, and neutral handling when properly heated, though optimal pressures and alignment are critical. While wear varies, several report impressive longevity for track use, with predictable behavior even as grip gradually declines after repeated heat cycles.

These tires have excellent grip on a dry, hot track. I use cold Ft 25# Rr 30#. Hot Ft 32# Rr 36#. Very high grip level. I was able to close in on the spec miatas in the middle of the corners. I drove a spec Miata for years and always complained about the slow Porsches in the corners, but not with these tires. I little noisy during everyday use, but about what I expected. Overall a great tire.

...They are faster than the Michelin Super Sport ZP's by 2-3 seconds a lap. The car is very neutral with no excessive understeer or oversteer...

I have a 2015 Corvette C7 Z51 M7 and I have done 3 HPDE Track Days in 2019 with NASA, MVP Track Time and Laps Inc. Road America (5 - 30 Minute Sessions), Autobahn Country Club Full Course (5 - 30 Sessions) and National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park ( 3 - 20 Minute Session) this year.

I purchased a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires this spring which I have mounted on an extra set of OEM black painted rims that I use for Track Days. I run 26 psi cold tire pressure front and rear and get 30-36 hot tire pressures. Michelin recommends 33-36 hot tire pressures. They are faster than the Michelin Super Sport ZP's that I ran before by 2-3 seconds a lap. The car is very neutral with no excessive understeer or oversteer. With the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires after just 3 events I am getting unusual outside wear with the OE alignment settings which was expected I guess. If you run the Sport Cup 2 tires make sure to follow the Track Days Prep sheet from Chevrolet (very helpful) called 2014 Corvette Stingray Track Preparation that gives alignment specs as follows:

Front
Caster: + 7.0 degrees
Camber: - 2.0 degrees
Toe: 0.05 degrees toe-In
Thrust Angle: 0 degrees
Rear
Caster: 0 degrees
Camber: - 1.7 degrees
Toe: 0.05 degrees toe-In
Thrust Angle: 0 degrees
I will probably purchase another set of these tires and change my alignment specs as suggested above. I'm not sure how darty (e.g. bump steer) they will be with these alignment specs on the street driving to and from the track.

I am reviewing PSC2 regarding performance on track during an HPDE. I was using the PSS2 tires that came on my 2014 Corvette. They are great tires and performed well on the track. The performance of the Sport Cup 2 tires is far superior to the Super Sports. I was able to carry more speed through the curves, and took more than 3 seconds off lap times compared to the Super Sports. While its too soon to say much about tire wear, after a 4 hour track day (four hours on track), the tires came out in excellent shape. I have a few more track days before the cold weather sets in. I will update my view of tire performance after those HPDE events.

Users praise the Cup 2's treadwear, with many scoring 8-10 for lasting multiple track days when properly managed. Reviews highlight consistent performance through heat cycles, with some achieving 15,000+ street miles. While rapid wear occurs under extreme use, most find lifespan meets expectations for a track-focused tire, especially with optimal camber and pressure settings.

...Running stock camber, I tore through the outer edges down to the cords in three track days - expensive mistake. After adding some negative front camber, about 2.7 degrees, my wear has been much more acceptable but is still prone to tearing.

Sport Cup 2s offer fantastic grip on track. They are in a completely different category from the Pilot Super Sports and as good if not better, in my experience, than the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec 2. I was about 2-3 seconds fast a lap per lap minute over the PSS. I have just about 6,500 miles on my M2 now with 10 days on the track, driving in the instructor group. Still on my first set in the rear, which has about 1/3-1/4 life left, and my second set of fronts. Camber challenged cars running aggressively, be aware that the soft outer edges will tear if pushed. Running stock camber, I tore through the outer edges down to the cords in three track days - expensive mistake. After adding some negative front camber, about 2.7 degrees, my wear has been much more acceptable but is still prone to tearing. I think the tires are very sensitive to the pressure you run (I believe Michelin recommends 32-33 hot up front) and heat that builds throughout a track session. With better management of pressure/heat, I think I could get a full season, 10 or so aggressive days on track, with a set. Turn in is crisp, the tires offer good audible feedback, and break away smoothly. They get up to temperature within a lap and a half and have consistent grip for 15 or so minutes before starting to slide too much. I have not noticed any heat cycling issues. On street, the tires are a bit noisy and harsh but liveable, although probably overkill for street only purposes. In this scenario, PSS is a better choice. They offer very good grip in the wet but are prone to hydroplaning in standing water. Once this set is done, I may consider buying another set .

...wear is surprisingly good...

I just have about 800 miles on the car. Rough about 1 1/2 h of track on them and my impression of the tire are good. It's a road oriented high performance tire. In my opinion less track oriented. Unfortunately i do not have any comparison on this car with other tires to be able to give you a real comparison.
What i can tell you so far is that the tire is very predictable, no surprises once warm, wear is surprisingly good. Decent deceleration on breaks and at the limit progressively loosing grip so you'll understand;) Who does not... well... :(......
Never then less I will give the Dunlop MAXX race as well as the Pirelli Trofeo's a try... Just to have an idea.

...Forget about wet traction and handling. Would never drive this in the rain!

This is THE tire for the GT3. Forget about wet traction and handling. Would never drive this in the rain! This car is for driving Los Angeles Forest Highway from Sunland to Palmdale. Moderate to very aggressive driving depending on conditions. The car came with Pirelles which were very good, but these are even better. When these tires get worn down, they are really loud. I was shocked how much quieter and smooth the ride was after the new set. This is the second set I have installed. 5,000 miles if I am lucky and no mileage guarantee. The harder you push it, the better the grip. I run 31 PSI all around for more control. STAY SAFE!!

Replaced the factory Dunlops with these on my GT3. Very solid tire but felt like it was a step back from the Dunlops. I do street driving plus track. The performance in the wet is terrible compared to the Dunlops. Same for the performance when cool. In 50 degree weather be careful. These tires have no grip. I've had the car unexpectedly move out from under me. They are very good performers on the track although not noticeably better or worse than the OEM Dunlops. The Dunlops are more expensive. Nevertheless, I'm going back to them and won't be buying the SC2s. Street performance for the Dunlops is far superior and track performance seems to be about the same.
