What brand tires does Lexus use?
The brand of tires Lexus provides varies depending on the year, model, trim level, and wheel size of your vehicle. Like other automakers, Lexus does not manufacture its own tires, but rather equips its vehicles with tires made by brands such as Goodyear, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Michelin, Dunlop, and Continental.
If you would like to know the original equipment for your Lexus model, use Tire Rack's tire finder and input your cars details. From there, you will be able to select an "original equipment" filter which will show you the tires that originally came on your vehicle.
How much do tires cost on a Lexus?
The cost of a tire depends on the brand, size, and intended use. Most tires for a Lexus vehicle are affordable falling in the $150-200 range per tire. However, if you are looking for a performance upgrade such as severe snow service rated, energy saver or high performance, you may find some tires cost up to $250 or more.
Does Lexus use run-flat tires?
Some newer Lexus models come with optional run-flat tires including all 2022 NX and UX models. It's important to know the specifications of run-flat tires so that you can get somewhere safely. For example, Bridgestone's Run-Flat tires are designed to provide temporary extended mobility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss, going above this speed could cause further damage to your wheels, as could going further than 50 miles.
