The Crugen EV HP71 SUV is Kumho's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire developed for drivers of electric and hybrid crossovers and SUVs looking for a tire solution that delivers the quiet, luxurious ride they expect in combination with year-round performance, including light snow traction.

The all-season tread compound of the Crugen EV HP71 SUV has been formed into a five rib, symmetric design featuring Kumho's Variable Pitch Technology for a quiet and comfortable ride while also allowing for rotation patterns that promote longevity and even wear. The rigid center rib provides solid on-center feel and in combination with a strong shoulder design, aid handling and steering response while also adding stability to combat irregular wear. Rib notches and wide grooves in the shoulders combine with four circumferential grooves to evacuate water from the contact patch for hydroplaning resistance, while sipes and independent tread blocks create biting edges for traction in slippery conditions.

Internal construction features a two-ply polyester cord body, which enhances ride quality and provides increased strength. On top of the casing, two wide steel belts provide durability further reinforced by two spirally wrapped nylon cap plies. This design improves handling and stability, especially at highway speeds.
