Special Trailer Service tires are developed specifically for use on travel trailers, pop-up campers, boat trailers, and fifth-wheel trailers. Hankook Vantra Trailer tires are designed to deliver exceptional durability and stability for towable trailers.
Special purpose trailer tires are not intended to be used on cars or light trucks.
The Hankook Vantra Trailer tire features a superior carbon black compound and optimized footprint to deliver low rolling resistance and longer tread life under heavy loads. The high-stiffness tread pattern is designed to maximize durability. The symmetric design features an optimized decoupling groove at the shoulders to deliver stable towing characteristics and lower temperatures under high load conditions.
Internal construction of the Vantra Trailer consists of a three-ply, polyester casing and two wide, steel belts. An optimized curing temperature improves the Hankook Vantra Trailer’s durability and performance. Stronger bonding between the belts, including overlapped belt edge tape, ensure driving stability at high speeds and improved resistance to damage from light, minimal contact with curbs and other roadway objects. Two nylon reinforcement plies further improve durability and allow for higher-speed operation.
Hankook Vantra Trailer tires have a Service Description that confirms each size earns an N speed rating, therefore, running the standard cold tire pressure recommended for the trailer and its load requires no additional adjustment in pressure for speeds up to the tire's 87 mph (140 km/h) maximum speed rating.
Special purpose trailer tires are not UTQG rated.
