OE Sport Springs offer a mild lowering to cleanup that "too high-rally-stock look." These are the springs your "S" or "Sport" option must have! Lowers .25"' to .75"' on average.

Install on a 2016 Mazda MX-5 Sport edition. To begin with drop much different than average stated, in that I obtained 1.25 inches in the front and 1.75 inches in the back once suspension was cycled. I expect that once fully settled the car will be 13.00 front and back from wheel centerline to fender lip. Beginning measurements were 14.25 front and 14.75 rear. I however was pleasantly surprised that the springs came out level rake versus as advertised which would have had the car still tail high. Ride comfort was almost equal to stock with flatter corner handling. Slightly choppy on washboard surfaces but I attribute that to the stock shocks being underdamped for the springs. Car did pick up some noticeable cowl shake but Sport editions do not have factory shock tower struts and that would eliminate. On a Club it would be fine. I ll get more miles on and update but initial impressions are all positive and Tire Rack s service and delivery were stellar.

My original struts were worn out. Since it was time to replace them, I wanted a sportier set-up without the "slammed" look. Also, since the streets fill with water when it rains hard, the last thing I need is to have the car much lower. This combination is a vast improvement- even over the as-new original setup. Cornering is much flatter, wallowing is non-existant, nose-dive and rear-squat have been drastically reduced - all while keeping a decent ride and plently of suspension travel for large bumps/potholes or when the car/trunk is full of people/stuff. Since my Civic is the LX, there is no rear anti-sway bar so I don''t think I''d see the benefit from going lower without making the control arm swap necessary to install a rear sway bar anyway. Overall, I am very pleased with the ride/handling tradeoff this suspension setup provides me for my daily driver. If I was into racing/auto-crossing, then that would be different, but then again, I''d modify a different car if that was the case....

Gave the right hight to the car. corners beautifully on mid and high speed corners. The car still understeers a bit on low speed corners. Just a bit harder than stock springs. The car looks amazing and the ride quality increased a lot. I highly recommend those springs.
