KW Suspension

What started out as a small team of three employees working in a small 1,600 square foot manufacturing plant is today an international group of companies producing innovative suspension systems for more than 3,000 different applications. KW now employs more than 200 employees at several subsidiaries and has a plant area exceeding 247,500 square feet. R&D, engineering, production, sales and logistics are located at corporate headquarters in Fichtenberg, Germany. Additional subsidiaries located in Sanger, California (warehouse and warranty support) and Vancouver, Canada (research and development for North American OEM and private label suspension) support corporate.

The main focus in KW’s Germany offices is research and development. More than 18 employees focus their time on new suspension and damping solutions as well as the continuous development of existing products. All components pass a series of comprehensive testing procedures to meet the highest quality standards. In 2006, a hydraulic 7-post dyno test facility was installed to simulate actual road conditions. There are only 15 such automated hydraulic test stands available around the world; most are used by Formula 1 teams for research and development. KW utilizes this technology to design and test KW’s performance street line of coil-overs in a controlled environment. Further equipped with the latest in CNC manufacturing equipment, KW’s in-house facilities offer fast and flexible service with guaranteed results - from prototypes to series line production.

These versatile production processes facilitate the quick conversion of technical requests into race-winning, high-performance racing technology. Heavily involved with national and international motorsports, most notably at Nurburgring Nordschleife, KW has demonstrated its motorsports expertise. Past seasons have resulted in an overall victory as well as seven class victories during the 24-hour race.

In addition to their relationships with motorsports teams, vehicle manufacturers and top-level tuners have partnered with KW for their suspension needs by working with KW to develop vehicle-specific performance suspension solutions for Mercedes-Benz AMG, Ford Mustang, Roush Performance, Chrysler USA’s Viper SRT10 ACR and more.

Optimal performance, individual lowering and outstanding driving dynamics are the characteristics of a KW coil-over kit. For each vehicle class and application, KW offers an optimally pre-set suspension achieved by the application of KW’s patented internal twin tube valve technology that allows for independently adjustable rebound and compression dampening.

Above all else, KW’s "inox-line" stainless steel spring strut housing is 100% non-corrosive in all environments. It ensures unsurpassed quality and high load tolerance while maintaining a perfect look. Its dirt resistant trapezoidal thread ensures easy adjustment and the adjustment mechanism will show virtually no sign of wear even after prolonged use.
