Hawk Performance introduces a unique ceramic composite formulation specifically developed to meet the ultra-low dust and low noise attributes of Original Equipment ceramic brake pads while maintaining the high friction levels professional brake tuners have grown to expect from Hawk Performance. Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads do not compromise performance and offer a solution to many consumers' number one complaint: DUST! Performance Ceramic Brake Pads also feature a fade resistant, linear friction profile that allows your ABS brake system to work more effectively.

Hawk Performance Ceramic Brake Pads — Quiet, Clean, Safe and Fast Stopping.

Features & Benefits

  • Ultra-low dust
  • Improved braking over O.E.
  • Stable friction output
  • Extremely quiet
  • Extended pad life
  • Increased rotor life

Brake pads are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.

Note: Even though Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

Great replacement alternative if you don’t want to spend the price amount for oem components. I bought the front and rear set for my 2012 Cadillac CTSV for what the dealerships parts counter would charge just for the front pads. The performance out of them exceeded my expectations since this was the first time having these pads on this vehicle. Strong braking power, low brake dust shed, and no noise. I would probably only buy these again if I have to replace pads in the future, as they’re a great option for the price, and the performance is outstanding.

Shopped a year for brakes. I have Akebono on all my other cars and they are firm but velvet smooth with zero dust. But they don't make pads for something as big as the Q7 and not many do. Hawk does and is reputable but not all the reviews were positive. If you don't mind leaving nose prints on your windshield and spending 15 minutes washing down the black trails from your concrete driveway after washing your car every week, then the stock semi metallic are for you; the stock initial bite is ferocious and so is the dusting. Hawk Performance Ceramic make 90% less dust and feel just as authoritative as stock, without the face slamming bite. I read online that wet braking could be scary but experienced none of that driving back from Colorado to Cali in a huge downpour in mountain passes. The Hawk Performance Ceramics also feel more linear to me and tons more responsive at the end of braking when bleeding pressure to come to a smooth stop. I took a year to purchase brakes because I agree with the Q7 engineers on their design principles, on nearly everything except their brake formulation; gigantic Brembos with stock semi metallic pads are ferocious even stone cold and I just wanted tune down the ferocity. And BTW, Tire Rack was at least $200 cheaper than anywhere else on the internet, with outstanding service and by far the most informative website. I have only the highest regard for Tire Rack for all the data that they publish.

Much improvement over stock ceramic pads. Used in conjunction of slotted rotors they provide excellent stopping power and give you a real feeling of confidence.
