Disc brake pads and rotors are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Read More.

Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 Brake Pads improve performance with increased stopping power and resistance to brake fade. Developed as a more responsive and durable option compared to Original Equipment, the pads release low levels of dust in normal street driving conditions while also creating little noise.

The pads feature a Ferro-Carbon compound and offer advanced braking characteristics to enhance the driving experience. This new compound combines the safety and quality of aerospace design with the braking technology of motorsports for improved performance under heavy braking situations.

Features and Benefits

  • Decrease stopping distances
  • Improved pedal feel
  • Resist brake fade
  • Low noise
  • Extended pad life

Made in the United States, Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 Brake Pads are gentle on rotors while still meeting the demands of today's drivers.

Brake pads are wear items and as such, should be inspected regularly and replaced as necessary. Pads should be replaced when approximately 1/8th inch of friction material remains on the steel backing plate.

Note: Even though Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.

This is an awesomely amazing set up for my car, every expectation was met, stopping faster than stock, quieter, I have not noticed any brake dust so far and it feels more even from front to back stopping. The nose is not dropping down upon braking, much more stable in corners, the confidence is reassuring, since the breaks have been put on. I've had to brake hard to avoid hitting Deer twice, squirrels I'm not sure how many times now and just stupid people who just think its OK to pull out in front of you doing 45mph on the main road? Over all, it is a fantastic kit, priced right, easy DIY, and shipped fast!! Thank you guys.

I purchased these as they were the most aggressive pads I could get for my Civic Si while my track car was in the shop. They only lasted 2 laps on Summit Point Main before they were fully on fire, billowing smoke out of the wheel wells. My thermal gun read 940*F. They simply could not handle a HPDE2 group. Very disappointed there are not more options for the Si. If you are trying to bring these on the track, save your money and get DTC-60 or similar.

initial bite on these is poor; friction increases progressively with constant pedal pressure as the braking continues, probably as the pads lay a layer of friction material on the rotors. But initial bite is poor and not confidence inspiring. Requires considerably more pedal effort than the hawk street/track pads, which are amazing but eat rotors and are dustier than a Vegas windstorm.
