WinterContact TS 850 P Performance Winter / Snow tires were developed by Continental Tire to combine impressive dry and wet handling and braking with good snow traction, as well as to provide drivers with the additional peace of mind their travels will not be delayed by typical tread area punctures. WinterContact TS 850 P tires deliver self-sealing continued mobility through a sticky, viscous coating on the inside of the tire that instantly seals nail or screw punctures up to five millimeters (approximately 3/16") in diameter.

The WinterContact TS 850 P winter / snow tire features an asymmetric tread design utilizing Continental's S-GRIP pattern layout. The wide, outboard shoulder blocks feature PowerSipes to increase block stiffness and provide stable cornering grip during dry and wet handling, and the sipes and tread blocks in the center and inside shoulder support each other to help further stabilize the footprint. S-GRIP pattern technology features a high number of block edges and longitudinal sipes to create the biting edges necessary for grip on slippery surfaces and enhance snow retention to provide snow-to-snow traction to help grip snow and ice and enhance winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs.

WinterContact TS 850 P Performance Winter / Snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Note: Snow platform indicators (the equivalent of "snow wear bars") are molded into the WinterContact TS 850 P's tread grooves to inform the driver when ice and snow traction will be reduced as the tire's tread reaches the point where the remaining tread depth becomes less effective in deep snow.

Install Continental WinterContact TS 850 P tires in sets of four only.

Due to the traction capabilities of the WinterContact TS 850 P, Continental recommends using them only in sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics and tire performance.
